The General Management Program (GMP) conducted by the PIM for the Senior Management of Hemas Holdings Limited, concluded its sessions, with the final activity in the program, namely, ‘Group Presentations”, on Saturday, March 06, 2010,  by the four groups identified by the company. The groups made their presentations in the presence of Mr. Husein Esufally, Chairman/ Managing Director, of Hemas Holdings.  Dr. Uditha Liyanage, Director, PIM, moderated the session.
It was the objective of the GMP to provide innovative and practical ideas about critical management challenges facing senior administrators /managers in performing their tasks and fulfilling their assigned responsibilities.

Further, the program was developed in a manner to bring the participants to a level playing field, which would enable them to think beyond the confines of their own disciplines and areas of administrative responsibility.
Each of the four groups presented their studies to lead in ways that support larger organizational objectives, enabling them to incorporate broader strategic considerations into management decisions.  
The Hemas management was convinced that the GMP enriched the senior managers with a core set of conceptual tools that stimulate them to think differently beyond their oft-familiar working environs.
The discussions that ensued became an extremely enriching experience for both the management and the participants. It was, therefore, the view of Mr. Husein Esufally, Chairman/Managing Director, that the company would seriously consider extending this program to a further batch of senior managers of the company.
